This site is to inform you about Marske Medical Centre. The Practice changed when the PCT took over its running in November 2003. We are :-
Family Doctor's Surgery run by the local Primary Care Trust (Langbaurgh PCT).
Interested in Medical Computing (to improve patient record keeping and make certain that your notes are always easily available and legible).
Interested in Family Planning (many of the GPs now working at Marske have a particular interest and extra skills in this area).
Interested in Information Technology (IT) in General Practice (the practice will be an early adopter of the National Program for Information Technology [NPfIT] and right at the forefront of the latest developments within the NHS).
We have a wide range of Practice employed staff as well as having other visiting staff (such as Physiotherapists and Midwives).

We have a wide range of receptionists, some of whom you will meet at the “front desk” but many more working behind the scenes to help the practice function smoothly (typing letters, printing prescriptions, scanning your hospital letters and results onto the computer).

Many of you may remember that Marske Medical Centre used to help train the next generation of doctors. We have started to take doctors in training (Undergraduate Medical Students). The new Medical School based at Stockton Campus is the first completely new Medical School in Britain for many, many years and so we are lucky to have this within our area. We are also involved in nurse training both for the advanced “Nurse Practitioners” and for “Nurse Extended Prescribing”.
